Regent Terrace
The hostel at Regent Terrace has provided exceptional care and support for many years to men who continue drinking. The hostel permits residents to
drink within the confines of the hostel and is referred to as a “wet” project.
Many of the residents have been in Regent Terrace for some years but there has also been a noticeable shift to younger people being admitted
to the hostel.
The hostel receives funding from Leeds City Council’s Supporting People programme.St George’s Crypt is currently reviewing the best way to continue this vital work. Regent Terrace is the only project of its type in Leeds - the City Council have identified in their Alcohol Strategy the need for a wet centre
which might open up possibilities for development of this special resource.
