Dates for your Diary

Bag packing – this is a marvelous opportunity to engage with the public, while offering practical help to pack their shopping.

Food drive – in conjunction with the host supermarket we talk to customers and hand out explanatory leaflets encouraging them to buy a little extra to place in a trolley for the Crypt. The food collected goes towards the meals prepared in the Crypt as well as food parcels.

Bucket collection – gives us a presence in a community/shop. Many people have fond memories of receiving a toy from the Crypt at Christmas and are willing to share those stories. Once again this is a good opportunity to talk about the work we do, to dispel the idea that we are nothing more than a soup kitchen, and to encourage donations.

Community events –we have merchandise to sell, tombola stalls and other games, flyers to advertise fundraising events, and leaflets with information about the Crypt and the work we do. This gives us the opportunity to ‘sell’ the Crypt.

Our big events – we run several larger events ourselves each year where lots of help is needed, e.g. the football tournament, Leeds 10k, with jobs ranging from flipping burgers, stewarding, serving refreshments, to helping with setting up.

Or why not run your own fundraising event on our behalf, we will be happy to support you with this.
