A man in his thirties was referred to us. As we often experience, his family couldn’t cope with his drinking habits and sadly he was asked to leave the family home.
He lost his job and his behaviour was putting huge strain on his parents’ marriage. This is all due to the alcohol dependency he was struggling with.
He was accepted into Regent House and slowly he began to turn his life around. We arranged appointments with other specialist services, and despite a few setbacks, he began to control his drinking. The family relationships also started to repair and bridges were rebuilt.
He then went to an Alcohol Detoxification facility complete with rehabilitation course immediately following.
That was the last we saw of him, other than one visit when he came back to see us, to tell us how well he had done, that he was now no longer alcohol dependent, and to thank us.
