P has been a regular, sporadic user of St George’s Crypt over the last few months, and before that the last couple of years. His recent stay has been for over four months.
P has never successfully lived independently. He has a history of addiction and non- engagement with public services. He has major health issues resulting in immobility.
Whilst with us he has accessed haircuts, opticians, dentist, physio, leg ulcer clinic, cooking group and many other activities.
We have identified he will need ongoing support in cooking, budgeting, shopping and self-care.
His confidence has improved and he is far more hopeful about the future than he has been for a long time.
We have seen a significant improvement in him keeping his living space tidy and clean.
He is now starting to access public services more independently and confidently.
P now sees more hope for the future, and is looking forward to living independently on his own. We acknowledge that this may take some time before he is totally ready, but he is now starting to get some meaning into his life.
